American Psycho( 2000)

I watched this movie with ultimate enthusiasm but I was left with many unanswered questions.

I was bewildered rather was doubtful whether I was not able to understand the movie.

I had to seek the help of IMDB and wikipedia.I think it has confused than clearing it.I really find lots of arguments and discussions still on the same movie.

This movie is inspired from the novel by Bret Easton Ellis controversial novel American Psycho

The story is about a Wallstreet based Pierce and Pierce executive Patrick Bateman.(Not the story of Norman Bates of Classic Psycho )

Christian Bale plays the character which previously Edward Norton was offered(Sorce :Wikipedia).Bateman is a self caring person who lives alone in Luxury apartment .

He is sophisticated and loves music.He narrates the way he takes care of his fitness and hai body .He is highly eductaed and he comes late to the office.You will wonder the way he describes the peel offs,Gel,Lotion with out alchohol,Scrubs for his face.There is a scene when a parlour girl feels his skin and wonders about the softness.

But what is all in this movie.He kills his Counterpart Paul allen and Bateman tortures and kills both people and animals; most notably several attractive women, including his ex-girlfriend Bethany, a prostitute, and various sexual partners he picks up, as well as a number of , colleagues, homeless beggars and total strangers. He is shown a sadist who enjoys in taping all Victims pleading for mercy .He also deliberately keeps them alive to give more pain .He also cooks some of the bodies.The movie revolves around a investigation by a Detective on the disappearance of Paul Allen.Movie ends with a indefinite conclusion of Bateman confessing to his lawyers who does not beleive in what he says.

But I trust this movie should be filmed with clear idea on the plot but no idea on the end(I read the novel ends as same ) I havent watched any Christian Bale movie till now.....Man he is awesome .He looks moves Lives in the way which will inspire you(Not the Pschic stuff) to take care of yourself like the way he takes care of him.But still I dont understand many things of the Film how is Paul Allen in UK ,How did he manages to lift all the bodies in the apartment.

If he is a cold blooded murderer why he stammers to the deductive.Why he loves /ditches his Girlfriend Evelyn.And atlast what is end signifies.

I cant say movie is not synonymous with vague but its far from clear movie.I feel too much of Characters are made with no justification for it .If he is from Pierce and Pierce I dont see any piece of Wall street stuffs in the movie.

But still this movie is to be watched if you love style and deep presentation on characters.
