There is a dialogue from the movie Mudhalvan directed by Shankar where Arjun's Dad tells Arjun that it be fine if there is rewind button in the life to go to the best moments of life when Arjun becomes a Chief minister and hardly finds time to spend with family.
Huffffffffff ........How fine it would be if you have the chance to go back to your finest moments in your life and go forward to your future.I was bewildered with the way Hollywood script writers think to make a movie.
This is a typical Adam sandler movie with Funny and nonsense activities directed by Frank Coraci and written by Steve Koren and Mark O Keefe. Click is the story of Michael Newman (Adam Sandler), an architect who aspires for promotion who is let down by his boss (David Hasseloff), that his family is forced to take the backseat. He lets down their Kids-Ben and Samantha for a camp . He gets a "universal remote" from an eccentric engineer named Morty (Christopher Walken), and finds he can literally control the world around him .
The movie takes the pace after it when he finds he can rewind and fast forward the incidents he likes and hates .He forwards taking shower,tussles,massage work done to his wife (Kate Beckinsale) before sex,meeting up his parents and the incidents till promotion.
He wins a multicrore deal with Japanese clients by over hearing them to find out whats in their mind (Increasing the Volume button in remote control when they discuss in private )
He enjoys his state of being since he is in total control of the whole world around him.
But lately he finds the things he forwarded can not be felt in Normal Play mode ,It automatically goes for a FF mode.Michael finds from Morty that its like that and he is left with no option to live with it .One fine day his boss tells He would be the CEO of the company ,he Forwards to that moment,he finds he had forwarded ten years to the year 2017, where he finds drastic changes have happened in his life: Donna has divorced him and married Ben's former swimming instructor Bill; he's become overweight from a constant junk food diet; and, on arriving at his home, he finds Ben has followed his example and started gaining weight too, while Samantha is a skimpily dressed party girl type.He forwards again and finds his son Ben has taken over his position and finds from him that His Dad had passed away.He feels so bad and rewinds back to the last moment he met his Dad where he shouts at his Dad.
Michael is incredibly saddened at his actions and ends up back at his father's grave where Morty shows up. Morty then says he is sorry to have taken Michael's father's life and Morty reveals his true identity: the Angel of Death. (Hence the name Morty, mort is Latin for death.)He Forwards again to Bens marriage where he gets Heart attack and ends his life on the bed of the whole family
Ben all of a sudden wakes up from the Bed and finds its all a dream ....he understands his priorities to keep the family at the front than the job and promises them for a Forth July camp.
He finds the remote in the Kitchen with Mortys Note.He finds its not all a dream, but Morty rewound Michael's life back to this point to give him another chance. Michael now knows what he should not do to have a happy future with his family.
