If you think actors in India are not great directors ,revisit your sentence Amir Khan has given a movie to cherish for the season and If you ask me after Chak de India I enjoyed this movie from the beginning.The movie of the year 2007 in Hindi is definitely Chak de India and Tara Zameen Par.I was really surprised why Amir Khan was so different in publiscising the movie .Because he never celeberated his maiden debut in direction or production.He had left it to the fans and I trust this is the movie for the end of season . Tara Zameen Par is a movie which is a must watch for any age from Kids to Oldies. Because it has many things to say from Children behavior to Parenting. You can not avoid this as an yet another movie for directing attempt or as a yet another commercial movie targeted towards Kids.Infact this movie is directed towards parents in a greater manner.First of all I should give a great applaud for Amir Khan for his meticulous and touching work in direction with the kids . From January 2007 to December 2007 there were many movies in Tamil which made mark at the boxoffice and with the fans.This year has been a treat for Tamil cinema where many remarkable movies were made .I wanted to rate the movies for the year 2007 as usual top 10 with your inputs.I have made a list which can be changed at any time befor December 30th .Shivaji was the biggest release of the year ,followed by Billa .Paruthiveeran and Mozhi made their imprints strongly so did Katrathu Tamil.There was no Kamal ,No Mani Rathnam,No Bala,No Selvaragavan,No Vikram (Bhima still pending ) Need Your Polls on the Ratings . Mirugam was a much speculated and much criticised movie before its release for various reasons other than the main movie and I took the option to choose though I didn ’t have any interest to watch this particular movie .There are two things which should be mentioned about the movie first you can not avoid comparing this with Paruthiveeran and director Sami has tried to rework getting inspired by Cult classic Paruthiveeran .Secondly I can not understand will there be any human like Ayyanar in our day to day society.Why was this movie made?It self is a big confusion.Is it for awareness or for narrating a story of a beast?.If its awareness we should be very sorry for the director ,I think the world has moved a long way from 1987 to 2007 with regard to awareness of AIDS. Mirugam is a story about Ayyanar (New Comer Aadi )who lived notoriouslyas a protagonist during Late 80’s according to the film.He lives a life of a sandiyar who pounds his mother abuses every body and lives a life

So the long wait is over and Ajith has delivered Billa at the right time when there is not much movies at this moment to compete.The initial verdict is "Movie is a hit and it’s the style which has made this movie to be a hit" .But if you ask me as a commoner it’s a 50-50 for Billa from my side.I give great thumbs up to Costumes and Camera,which I would say will be a trendsetter for Tamil cinema. It takes immense courage to remake a movie after 25 years when the original Billa is still ruling the Tamil Cinema.But still the remade Billa has paid honour to original Billa in a stylish manner.New version of Billa has not taken any change in the plot and it has definite shape of each characters but has omitted a main character of JJ which was originally played by Thengai Srinivasan,which is intended to bring a different lock in the whole plot.I strongly feel the omission of the character has let down the movie in many ways.Even in the Hindi version it was played by Arjun Rampal.Vis

Remade /Reloaded/Revamped/Refreshed Billa releases on this friday.I can not keep my opinion open.I have seen Ajith spoiling my mood in Citizen .This time I pray "Not Again" Which is the most stylish movie ever made in Tamil movie ,can we list a few.Kuruthipunal,Kakha Kakha ,Vetayadu Vilayadu,Thiruda Thiruda ,Minsara Kanavu we have very few in the list.What does stylish movie mean for us.High branded costumes ,Leather Jackets for sure ,High profile cars,Camera in Blue lights ,Bank robbery ,Investigation through Laptop entries and of course Hero in all black gelled hairstyle. I had a concern about the rating I give to the movies,even some of m y friends also have.For instance My friend asked me why I gave equal weightage for Pollathavan and Kannamoochi Enada! I feel that was a mistake on my evaluation .Some movies were over valued and some are undervalued.I don’t give much importance to commercial success to the movie as it carries no sense for a viewer like me.I give due importance to substance of the movie.Oram Po for instance is rated strictly on the efforts look cool and nothing more.Same way my friend argued me that I had give underrating for OSO ,I agree it is a underrated .The movie is a piece of waste according to me .I make this valuations only on my experience with the movie taking for granted that I enjoy the movie truly and Don’t watch it with lame expressions.

Third film from the director who was celebrated two years ago for his meticulous work “ Kadhal ”.Expectations were high from my side like others for the plot he had chose this time days.The biggest difference in this movie is that you will not be able to recognise even a single actor ,since they are fresh to acting.
