Kadhal na Summa Illai is promoted in a big manner by Raj TV ,since its their first venture in to movie distribution.Kadhal Na summa illai is a remake of the telugu movie Gamyam which was a sensational hit a year ago. It’s a search of a lover boy to reach his lady love who had split with him due to difference of ambitions and life style.Abiram(Sarvanand) who is a millionaire who lives his life careless and partying,while Janaki(Kamalinee mukerjee) is a doctor who wants to serve the society.Both fell in love but had to split their relations.When he realizes about her ambition he goes in search of her where he meets Vetti Velu ( Ravi Krishna ) a petty thief who joins Abiram to assist in his search. I was impressed by the trailer of Villu even I don’t count so much on Vijay movies as he never wants his roles to test him.This trailer was stylish so I expected I could have a good time atleast.With Prabu Deva and Vijay ,I was not expecting a hi fi movie but a movie which could stop the bad run Vijay had through ATM and Kuruvi.Villu is a ordinary movie which is shown as so called stylish and ripped off from Hindi Movie Soldier . I was expecting this Director Suraj Movie very much as his previous ventures were impressive as a fast paced movie and had some good comedy track.Even Dhanush gave three impressive movies last year so I was totally expecting this movie.But Padikkathavan is a B Grade Movie in all aspects which fails miserably with some very slim chance and scope in all departments. Dhanush as Radhakrishnan who is a unemployed ,Uneducated guy and who is being targeted by his Dad Prathappothan for his irresponsible attitude and careless behaviour.He falls in love with Gayathri ( Tamanna ) who is daughter of Simmareddy ( Suman ),A Don in Andhrapradesh .His rivalry Don Sayaji Sinde wants to take revenge for Suman murdering Sayaji ’s Son. To be very frank I was expecting the history of Australia in this movie.But I was in for a movie which was not a war movie,no completely romantic,no western,no emotional but a pieces of all crafted and detailed in a clear manner. .I had some feel of watching the movie “out of Africa” for no reason.I couldn’t get correctly why I correlated this movie may be because of the costumes and the faraway downs house which was looking very similar.
