Can Chak De India recreate the Magic ??

Indian Cinema Industry has not seen many good sports movies apart from Lagaan or Iqbal .But those movies were on Cricket and its easier to inject the spirit of cricket in to our blood. There was Bend it like Beckham, It didnot have the originality of Indian Movie though directed and acted by Indians. From the moment I saw the trailer of Chak de India ,I don't know I felt there is some spirit in the movie. For a very simple reason. This is made on Indian National Game "Hockey "which we often dont accept unofficially.Chak de India's trailer was fascinating and equally inspiring .Produced by Yash raj Films and Directed by Shimit Amin(Man who directed Ab tak Chappan ) this movie stars Sharukh Khan as Kabir Khan the coach of Indian women's hockey team. This is a story of a hockey player who returns to the game as a coach of a women's hockey team.He inspires and motivates them for one dream"WorldCup".
Hockey is one game which had created magic in Indian sports. It had less glamour and more spirit.Over the years we have forgotten our national sport.Today even Men's hockey team has lost its shine and glory ,to make a film on the women's hockey team is something very amusing. This is also one point for which I am awaiting this movie.I dont have any clue how the story is going to be apart from what I read and saw in the trailer. But my judgement its indeed a good thing big stars like Sharukh acting for movies which are of less Glamour and directed towards a goal.
Sports movies always hold a special place in Hollywood movies Rockyseries,Remember the Titans and many.It all had a good spirit in it.One movie in India which we have loved in the past should be Lagaan.Lagan was magical in many sense from performances, direction,Music .Chak de India should recreate the magic .I am not expecting this movie to be a great creation or a Lagaan II but the movies which are made with such spirits should be welcomed.Sharukh khan looks old but looks matured in this movie. He is a great actor and he should act in such movies at intervals.
There are some inspiring lines spelt out before the world cup Finals. The words go as such "I am not going to tell you how to play today ,but play for one dream"When I went through about the movie I came across the following "It is not that we can't win. It's just that we have never believed we can".How true its for our Indian sports.
The movie releases on August 10.
