All along these days I was never aware I was missing such a beautiful movie.Its very rare to see a movie coming out with some beautiful emotions and humour in a holocaust.This movie is more about love, humour and human emotions but the stage is holocaust .When you feel happy after a movie that's the success of any movie.Life is beautiful brings out the joy in you in the first half and the true emotions with laughter in the second half.We usually see holocaust movies in pain,survival and enmity.But humour is something which will the the last in their cards.Director and Lead actor Roberto Beningni should have enjoyed his life to make a movie like this.The challenge of Benigni's work is that it binds two diametrically opposed subjects in a balanced and entertaining way. His tale of a 'love that was meant to be' is told engagingly and whimsically in the first part of the movie. The second part set in holocaust describes the beautiful love and sacrifice with a humour .
This movie is about a Jewish father Guido Orefice protecting his son Joshua Orefice with his pleasant imagination and humour in holocaust of German Nazi regime in Italy.As mentioned in the beginning of the movie the story is very simple but its not that easy to explain.You have to live with the movie to celebrate the life of Guido Orefice.Not surprisingly this movie won four Oscars and Golden Globe award .It starts of as a slow -breezy-inspiring-beautiful but the fade out you cant help it to be moved .Its always a great living to live for your loved ones,Here Guido lives for his son and wife.Laughing in amidst adversity is the real triumph and this movie has given it in a heart felt manner to any body who views.The movie takes off from the moment Guido ,His wife Dora ,Joshua and his uncle along with fellow Jews were taken off to a German labour camp.Guido makes some wide imagination to make his son happy .We visualise The scenes of Guido and Joshua with Guido's fiction and imagination which Guido's has constructed for his son's happiness .At one moment when I started watching this movie I had a thought whether Guido was a cranky buffoon.But when we followed there is some thing called smile with joy and smile in tears.Thats how Guido(Roberto Beningni) has made this movie.
Movie has some intelligent scenes through out.To name a few as the movie begins when Guido meets for a job he asks the commoner what about his political views,he just turns and makes his children quiet by saying "Benito ! Adolf! Cant you be quiet".Director points some thing is waiting for you!!!.I am slowly getting inclined towards Italian movies for their way of film making.First it was Cinema Paradiso then Son's room and now Life is beautiful.
Some time you feel wordless when you are attempting to describe a beautiful art .Life is beautiful is such a kind of beautiful art.Movies which tell you the lighter and enjoyable part of human emotions are not the movies for just watching but to take it to your memory lane and celebrate.Life is beautiful is a movie to celebrate .
