There is a peculiar language for Auto drivers and a separate world for Auto drivers Where entry is not easy for commoners. Auto drivers life has never been told in a humorous way and never told with light heart.Oram Poo is a effort to bring the humour side of Auto drivers across the city .I was tempted to choose Oram poo ahead of Rameshwaram starring Jeeva was for two reasons.1.Because of the fantastic trailer of Oram Poo and 2.To watch this movie in Adlabs.Since I was in Madurai I wanted to experience Adlabs, So guys Madurai has got the first Adlabs cinema hall in Tamil Nadu.
Oram Poo is a humour drive from the start to end ,the story nor the screenplay does not care about life in a bigger way.The movie itself lives for the moment and never takes forward unless the mean is told.In the sense every character of the movie carries a level of humourous act.A typical Auto-rickshaw racing between two rival gangs in the Chennai city.Chandru ( Arya ) ,auto driver is an unbeatable auto racer in the city and friend of Bigil (Pronounce as Beegil) (Laal) who is citys leading auto mechanic.Bigil and Son of Gun a.k.a Pitchai(John Vijay) dashes in the racing track to prove their expertise in autos .Chandru loves Rani relative of Bigil.Friendship of Bigil and Chandru erodes because of this love and Son of Gun takes away Bigils workshop in a auto race in the absence of Chandru.How Bigil,Rani,Chandru unites is Oram Poo.
Movie is directed by Pushkar and Gayathri ,Oram Po happens to be their first film ,the pair is a trained directors from Hollywood. It seems like they should have enjoyed each bit of the movie in writing and directing. The joy in the movie immediately sticks to the viewers and I trust the excitement in the movie is a welcome feel for Tamil audience ,because for a long time there was no full length comedy film. Even at the so called emotional scene also the character Pitchai is called by others as S.o.G meaning Son of Gun, Original name of Lal is never revealed in the movie and it remains as Bigil.This is evident to show the level of lightness the movie has.One character which entertains thoroughly is Son of Gun who in Tirunelveli jargons wits with idiotic but enjoyable dialogues .The language used by the characters looks untidy but it shows the real auto drivers language.

Arya is in his welcome relax mood before his heavy Naan Kadavul.Lal looks relaxed for the role and has done his best.Oram is a entertainment at its best with mastering the language of Auto drivers .The directors use different camera angles as in case of the movie Italian Job .The auto racing in the G.S.T road has nothing filmy in it and the result of the final race shows why this movie is very casual in all means . The race shows the attiutude and color of the movie in a blunt way .
Oram Po with a fresh look and a fresh story line has to be welcomed to enjoy for this December before some of the bigger releases. Oram Po has a right spirit for entertainment and it surprisingly deviates from the usual Tamil cinema and that is one positive equity for the movie.

Had a visit twice ,I am following it ...for sure.
The film lacks a proper script and is more of a conversational style dialogue and camaraderie between auto racers, mechanics. The climax is a bit of a downer and abrupt, production values are nil giving it a totally down market look and the song picturisation is basic. Directors has etched out the basic thread for the film from the Hollywood movie on illegal Street racing Fast and Furious, which they have Indianised against a Chennai milieu.
Bottom Line: You should analyze all aspects of the movie before giving any rating.
I strongly contradict on this.It has been iondianised but it takes some level of work to give a desi look.Attempting a movie style which is unusal with tamil
audience itself is a welcome note.I enjoed the movie fully for not caring on the emotional ,usual filmi styles and sentimental locks
I think u look movie with a spoon fed look the climax should be like this for the attitude of the movie.U need a movie where the villain chases hero for the money brief case,like S.O.G and Annachi arganise a mob attack against Arya and Lal.Come on how much days u will be watching movies in the same mood.Watch and welcome different stufff.I dont claim its a great movie ..its entertainer,which i have put forth clearly and confidently and clearly i look for all the angles of the movie....
