Jaane tu ya Jane na (2008)




We have seen many debuts from celebrity family and almost all have got a blunt introduction.Exception being Hritik Roshan.Imran Khan nephew of Aamir Khan debuts in Jane tu Ya Jane Na.This movie made me run for the ticket for nearly ten days and people were really crazy to get the tickets.Atlast I made it today .

Abbas Tyrewala who has scripted some memorable movies like MunnaBhai ,Ashoka ,Maqbool has directed this movie.I don’t know when its comes to his direction why he has let it loose his skills of impressing.The story is line is a age old .The story is about Jai (Imran Khan ) and Aditi (Genelia ) who are best pals .When Aditi’s parents speak about their life ahead together they yell to say they are just friends and assure themselves that they would remain friends.Jai falls in love with Meghna and Aditi with Sushant .When days goes by with their newly found love they realise the Aditi and Jai discover the love for each other.What can be so twisted from now on? The Guy proposes her in the airport when she decides to leave to America for higher studies .

I could not see the notable scriptwriter in any of the corners of the story line.Its such a age old ground ,smashed ,rotten story line in a new celluloid .But the screenplay has some parts to relax.The character of Nasurudeen shah as Jai’s father speaking from the portrait to Jai’s mother is a old wine but still interesting for the three conditions he puts forth.Sohail Khan and Arbaz khan characters makes a interesting a tale at the end.

As such the Guy Imran Khan is a good actor and imitates Aamir Khan when he laughs loud.Typical Amir way of making fun.Jenilia is as usual predictable as in Tamil movies.There is a bunch of friends who pray for their love.Very very ordinary.The bondage between Imran and Genilia is good but not lovable as we have seen this kind of movies a lot.It was aspired to be a Hollywood look a like movie but with such a uninteresting story line.

Music by A.R.Rahman ,I don’t know why he has changes facet for Bollywood .It can not be a great musical treat from the man but he has pulled his strings after a long time for an Indian movie.Movie has casual and cool parents ,Friends,parties ,romance and light humour but a crap story line which made me yawn for the first one hour.If you cast all good looking stars you can not claim it a beautiful movie (My friend was mentioning ) .I am sorry this is not a beautiful movie.It has youthful costumes and young actors that’s it and good performance from Imran Khan.Otherwise its a very very ordinary movie.

Every one growing up watching Rajini, Kamal would definitely agree; Aboorva sagotharargal, Batsha, Kadhalukku mariyathai or many to name it.  It may be completely not possible today with the schedule and the amount of new content which streams before you. Test it , first 15 minutes of any these movies and I bet you will sure complete the whole movie. With Silambattam Simbu needs a hit badly and he does what he knows the best.Dance and Action. Silambattam is a out and out Tamil Masala movie shot in a village atmosphere.Incidentally the Tamil cinema is able to break the Friday lucky day to release this movie on Thursday. Anantha Thandavam -The original Pirivom Sandhippom

Below is the write up about a movie which I expect so much for this year.The story has been my personal favorite and is based on one of the best Tamil novel which I have read so far.I happened to read the novel Pirivom Santhippom during my college days ,which made me to think aloud about love.Written by Sujatha the story was initially published in Anantha Vikatan in early 80’s.The story of Pirivom Santhippom is of two series first in Tirunelveli second part in America.After eight years I am able to recall each and every characters of the work.This has nothing to do with my memory but with the beauty of the book.The main characters are “Ragupathi and Madumitha “.After reading the book I felt there can not be a sweeter name than Madumitha .Even the name of the particular character while reading the novel will make you feel for Ragupathy.
