Celebrating Rock On!!! ( Music )




I don’t remember when I wateched a movie more than once.Probably in my college days might be, but all the other second time watch had been very coincidental.But after many days my mind was urging to watch Rock On second time.This time to enjoy and not watch the movie.I have been listening to this movie’s songs like a chain all along while in office,working,while blogging ,while gymming .So I felt its worth to write about the music which has taken away for these much days.When you end up with the movie ,this immediate message appears on the screen “ Don’t download the music Buy the CD “ ,Yes its worth each penny ,for four things

1.Shankar Ehasaan Loy Music
2.Javed Akthar’s unconventional lyrics
3.Farhan’s voice
4.The Guitar piece in Tum Ho Tum song


Rock On:This song sung by Farhan comes as a celeberation of the band in the back ground.The lyrics tells the mood of the band to sing,enjoy,celeberate and free the world with music.” Dil Kehta hain chillake Ga un ,sab apne kidiki kolke sune “ meaning my heart is telling to sing aloud in the streets,every one open the doors to listen.This song is the theme song and it will take you in to the band .

Tum Ho tum : The scintillating melody sung by Farhan appears in two instances in the movie.This song is the emotional ballad with romantic feel in it.It can be dedicated to any one you love.”You are there and I have all the joy in the life “.And the way Yeah Zindagi is taken in high pitch by Farhan is amazing and will plead you to listen again.It has a fantastic vocals which makes the heart melt for a while.Beautifully composed romantic song .

Sindbad the sailor:This song is enjoyed for the unconventional lyrics Javed has taken with.It has some interesting lines with life relating with Sindbad as the sailor.Farhan has sung this with josh and feel as a preaching to the listeners to enjoy the music.I can really say this song tells how the clues for lyrics comes from .It can be from any thing here the clue is about Sindbad story and it’s a not a easy task to compose as this doesn’t appear as a rock song.It hears a fast number with chorus and slowing down for a touchy space.

Pichle Sat dinon Mein: This is the defining moment in the movie.Personally after Tum Ho Tum ,I love this for the picturisation and Farhan’s voice.It has a amazing coordination shot with the audience which gives you feel that you are watching a live show,even when you hear.This is a typical Desi Rock with a international touch,Laundry ka bill,Ek Ladki ka phone number,Mera Kam ka ek paper very very funny words.This will be the chart buster and song of the movie.

Socha Hain : This song gives you the rock feel from the band,Farhan’s voice has done the magic.Lyrics is simply amazing about the happenings around the human existence.This song make you a miserable if you try singing along with it for the first time.This song tells how hard the guy has worked for the movie in singing as fast numbers are not easy to sing with high pitches.

I would strongly recommend this music to brought as you can enjoy for hours listening to this song.There is one more song which doesn’t feature in the CD ,the song Zahreley which is also a good listen.

I am not over boarding or creating hype about the music ,what ever I say will be felt when you listen to the music once.

Every one growing up watching Rajini, Kamal would definitely agree; Aboorva sagotharargal, Batsha, Kadhalukku mariyathai or many to name it.  It may be completely not possible today with the schedule and the amount of new content which streams before you. With Silambattam Simbu needs a hit badly and he does what he knows the best.Dance and Action. Silambattam is a out and out Tamil Masala movie shot in a village atmosphere.Incidentally the Tamil cinema is able to break the Friday lucky day to release this movie on Thursday. Anantha Thandavam -The original Pirivom Sandhippom

Below is the write up about a movie which I expect so much for this year.The story has been my personal favorite and is based on one of the best Tamil novel which I have read so far.I happened to read the novel Pirivom Santhippom during my college days ,which made me to think aloud about love.Written by Sujatha the story was initially published in Anantha Vikatan in early 80’s.The story of Pirivom Santhippom is of two series first in Tirunelveli second part in America.After eight years I am able to recall each and every characters of the work.This has nothing to do with my memory but with the beauty of the book.The main characters are “Ragupathi and Madumitha “.After reading the book I felt there can not be a sweeter name than Madumitha .Even the name of the particular character while reading the novel will make you feel for Ragupathy.
