Raman thedia Seethai (2008)

I like Cheran,I know he is a poor actor but he is cautious in doing his roles .That part of him has given some good roles for him.In Raman thedia seethai I guess he is completely deceived by the story.It started off well got messed up in the middle then revived and then messed up.Its sad that a good plot became a mess due to some bad characterisation and poor direction.

Venu is a guy whose all marriage proposals gets failed either because of his past story which he confesses to the Girl in the first meeting or because of his stammering speech.Venu meets many women in his life who rejects him unknowing of his well mannered character.At one point he gets disturbed and becomes low in confidence when his marriage gets stopped because of a mess.He meets Nedumaran a blind Radio Jockey who gives confidence for him to look at life.He travels to Nagercoil to meet in regard to his marriage .He meets some unexpected people which changes his way throughout .

Cheran struggles to act ,it’s a character similar to Nee Varuvai ena Parthiban character but here Cheran puts a very uninteresting act.There are many females in the movie all look unimpressive except the Gayathri .Nithin Sathya is impressive but his role is such a comic role which can not be enjoyed at this era of movies.His character is atleast fifteen years old in Tamil Cinema.But still there are many characters like him alive in this part of world.

Pasupathy as Nedumaran and Gajala as Tamil Isai revives the movie to an extend.Pasupathi and Gajala is an interesting pair here and its been a stunning performance from both of them.I liked the flashback scenes of their romance which was poetic and realistic.Good work from them who give a relief for the audience.

The lesson here is direction is the essential part of movie and I can see how a movie goes as a second degree movie because of a very poor direction.There were very very artificial action from the actors which can not be blamed on any body but the director.Only actors like Pasupathi and Manivannan exhibit their natural talent in this movie.Director Jagannathan is a confused person here he has compromised his plot and he has messed up his good story.Music Vidyasagar ?!!!

It could have been a poetic movie for its characters and story line but it turned out to be a very very ordinary movie in the end.Thumbs down to director Jegannathan and Cheran.
