Rab Ne Bane Di Jodi (2008)
Whats wrong with Aditya Chopra.Its been thirteen years that he gave his first movie the phenomenoly loved movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.Then now he gives his third movie Rab De Bane Di Jodi with lots of expectation .But is such a ridiculous and it’s a pain to watch the movie from the director who has directed DDLJ and Mohabatein . I am sorry to say I struggled to stay till the end but some how managed to watch it.
The story is about ordinary couple Surender Sahni and Taani who get married due to destiny and they struggle to find love and show each other .Its about their love and how Surender Sahni a soft spoken working class guy wins Taani’s heart.Taani’s interest in dancing makes Surender disguises himself as Raj a freaky guy to participate in a reality show Jodi No: 1 with her .I am not sure the what the director wanted to tell but it was a third rate movie story which can not be excused at any cause.
Sharukh Khan is the king of Bollywood no denials on that .But you can not make a stupid movie with a splendid actor.There are some scene where his brilliance is exhibited as Surender and definitely not as Raj.Anushka Sharma is young but she is not as she was so hyped to be.Very average debut.But as a basic thing when do Indian films leave the practice of showing dissembled characters with out Moustache ?Cant a woman recognise her husband who is with out a moustache.It was horrible.
The movie has no characterisation and it was all along like a emotional torture .The movie could not be said good not even at any point.Aditya Chopra is to be blamed for such a indolent and kiddish story.He could have taken the reality show in a bigger manner as that is the craze of the period.But even the reality dance show was also not impressive.All along the movie looked very tiny before Sharukh Khan and Yash Raj Brand.It had no pressing story and its such a manipulative story which was looking so pathetic right from the beginning.
Aditya Chopra didn’t even care about the way movie heading towards.It was all whole looking like rotten apple which couldn’t be even touched .Its stupic , Fanatically patriotic and didn’t appeal from the moment I entered the cinema hall.For every body information I choose to watch this movie by 7.30 am show in Satyam on a weekend ,the time which is usual for only Rajini movies.But Aditya chopra had disappointed and it was a bizarre and grossing out movie for which I couldn’t go more than one star which just for SRK and his performance as Surinder Shani.

I was expecting this movie from Aditya chopra because i loved his Mohabatein songs and dialogues..
i didnt watch still the day earth stood still because i was really busy the whole week and i will do it this next weekend
I understand.but its high time the movies should get rid of this thing...
