Tare Zameen Par(2007)

If you think actors in India are not great directors ,revisit your sentence Amir Khan has given a movie to cherish for the season and If you ask me after Chak de India I enjoyed this movie from the beginning.The movie of the year 2007 in Hindi is definitely Chak de India and Tara Zameen Par.I was really surprised why Amir Khan was so different in publiscising the movie .Because he never celeberated his maiden debut in direction or production.He had left it to the fans and I trust this is the movie for the end of season .

Tara Zameen Par is a movie which is a must watch for any age from Kids to Oldies. Because it has many things to say from Children behavior to Parenting. You can not avoid this as an yet another movie for directing attempt or as a yet another commercial movie targeted towards Kids.Infact this movie is directed towards parents in a greater manner.First of all I should give a great applaud for Amir Khan for his meticulous and touching work in direction with the kids .

Tara Zameen Par is a movie about a eight year old Kid Ishant awasti( Darsheel Safary)who struggles with numbers and words in making a sense out of them.Result he gets punished in each class .His parents puts him in boarding school to straighten him out thinking ,he needs discipline. The story of his punishment continues there too.Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Amir Khan ),art teacher at the boarding school discovers his problem of dyslexia and amidst lots of convincing he grooms Ishant to make him understand to bring his hidden talents out.Written by Amole Gupte TZP is the definitely the heart felt movie of the year .

I was amused who is this Darsheel Safary whose name appears first even before Amir Khan ,Later when the film progressed I was made to understand why Darsheel Safary who plays the kid Ishant name appears before Amir.It is going to be a laurels all the way for Darsheel safary I must say the kid has shown a stupendous performance which is mind blowing .The kid has emerged as the sole show piece carrying all the way through out the movie.He has understood what had been offered to play and he has given his fullest in a over whelming way.He was notorious in the first half enjoying the traffic ,paintings ,his dogs and later in the boarding school he silenced his emotions ,showed his pain struck face through out and in the climax when the whole emotions which he was engulfing with in himself erupt “Oh boy I was totally taken back” After many years film makers had given a chance for a kid to take the front seat leaving all the actors to watch.You can not simply rate the guy only through his dialogue delivery as his dialogues are very minimal that too for the second half he never speaks through out.Its his emotions which speaks his eyes and his bunny teeth conveys most of the rest for us.

Amir is an good actor and his debut has been great that’s the best part; he has transformed a good script to a great movie.many movies were made on the same concept of disability of children but this is some thing different where it occurs with many children now a days.Its not a disorder as the study says ,hence the film intends to send a strong message for the parents about dyslexia .Every body would relate with Ishant as we all went through the same phase of understanding why 3x9 =27 and why it cant be 3 it self.His years of acting with great directors has made him a good director.He has shown a great level of elegance in handling some sensitive scenes and also in the minute scenes.For example the first ten minutes of the movie when Ishant comes back from school.There is nothing filmy about it and Ishant performs what a kid does.The scene when Amir looks Ishant’s note book on confused handwriting to know about dyslexia is beautifully made for us to identify with what is dyslexia .I was impressed whole heartedly with Amir’s work.

Every character in the movie is worried about Ishant be it his mom Maya (Tisca Chopra)or his dad(Vipin Sharma) Awasti ,his friends.The movie greats a great aid from the well script understood team.Camera by Sethu is realistic as it shows each frame,Kids do look beautiful with his camera they look even more beautiful.Shankar Ehasaan Loy songs music and the songs by Prasoon Joshi are meaning ful.But the score among would definitely go the Dahrsheel Safary.

One final word for my friends who do not watch Hindi movie because they don’t understand ,this movie is made with a easy understandable Hindi and with lots of scenes conveyed as emotions.Hence I would recommend every body to watch because this movie can hint many things about why Kids are always Kids which all should understand.
