The Usual Suspects(1995)

This movie had a long story with me and my brother, Till he was staying with me in Chennai he was bugging me for this particular movie, but I managed to get the DVD only when he left for Hyderabad,In the end I also lost the interest to watch it.Some how last week I managed to watch Uusal suspect with out suspecting any body.My brother and my brothers friend had already given a feedback about this movie and its genre. But if you ask me we always have a special inclination towards twist ending movies and Usual suspects is one such class example of twist ending and thriller. This was the movie which made many stars in Hollywood from Bryan Singer ,Kevin spacey,Benicio Del Tiero.

FBI arrest five suspects to extract answers for a crime scene involving drugs and mafia ,They were interrogated to figure out a underworld mafia named Kayser Soze, All five of these men have unknowingly crossed Soze, and hey are forced to take on a mission on a boat. in order to clear their outstanding to him. Chaz Palminteri plays the customs agent who must sort out the mystery involving the five suspects: Pollack, Byrne, Kevin Spacey, Steven Baldwin and Benicio Del Toro.
The FBI men interrogate different ways with the suspects but land up in a stunning end .Usual suspects turns out to be a unusual suspect at the end.It will not look mediocre movie when you correlate the screenplay bits on the whole which will show a clear arrangement of thriller genre.
Kevin spacey as Verbal is unusually in understated character which looks pretty ordinary among the whole notorious gang but he crops up when needed in a boasting manner. Some actors looks great in what ever characters and Kevin Spacey is one such actor. The crippled and gloomy Verbal character is bombarded in the movie to extract the truth ,but he winds and gets trapped by his words and then looses out .

If you are watching this movie for the first time it would shock for the end but when you look back in to the movie you will find up the organized work ,strained efforts, disciplined correlation with the movie never deviating from any angle obviously the appraise is for Director Bryan Singer and Writer Christopher Maccquire. The movie had many sub stories which could have branched to spoil the whole mood but it was meanly avoided to look smart in the bigger picture.

The FBI interrogation did not present itself as the usual as it appeared like a mouse trap for the Investigators but sadly FBI getting trapped in the loop. the whole movie spin around this concept in making and figuring out from the instances and words spelt around for a moment of scene. The first scene in the boat with a man in a Cigar and a long Jacket gives you the mood from the scene one.It so looks that it’s not a big movie in terms of look but you can see the movie being packed with conversations ,body language indications, clues which needs a clear attention to put every thing in a array to figure out why useful suspect is unusual suspect

Man,, Again a goofy review,, After my first viewing of 'The Usual Suspects' I was confused and decided I would give it another chance. But there just isn't much there. I hate it a little more each time. People seem to fool themselves into thinking that this is a deep and complicated storyline; it's not. It's just not a well told story and that's the problem.

This movie is saved by it's great ending (one of the best ever) but the rest of the movie is cheap and weak. There is no excuse for this movie being so overrated and popular. The only thing I can think of is Kevin Spacey's performance (definitely not his best) and the ending; granted, it's a 6 out of 10 and maybe a 7 at best.

I have not seen this movie yet, hence, the lack of clarity in the review makes me understand very little about the movie.

I have no comments about the review, but the language and grammar can be better, so that the readers can comprehend better.

Just a thought.
