The Kingdom (2007)

We had planned for this movie two months ago and some how it got postponed and in Bangalore I had the opportunity and time to watch with some of my new friends .Kingdom is a American movie set in middle east in trying to say about the terrorist intrusion and the bilateral support .Come on man this movie baffled me in many ways in terms of Americans thirst for oil.In the sense they played a safer bet even in movies for oil .

The FBI evidence team Ronald Fluery (Jammie Foxx ),Grant Skyes (Chris cooper) Janet Mayes (Jeniffer Garner ) Adam (Jason Bateman) are sent to Middle east Riyadh to gather evidence for the serial bombings which took place in the American civil area. The restrictions and the joystick of the Saudi security makes them hinder the job for which they are in and they slowly get in the job when Ronald Fleury (Jamie Foxx ) puts forth his restrictions before the king. They trace out the evidence of the bombers and the extremists gang.

I had read lot about the movies starting ,so I didn’t want to miss it.It was one of the base line for this movie ,which showed the superpowers game with Oil wealth right from 1930 to 2007.It was fantastically shown. But I felt that was the only point when it was true in the movie with regard to the core morals. The movie portrays the Middle east government supporting the small team in evidence .I am making it clear the Government, Its not the people. In the movie the thought which I was able to get from the makers is ,the movie never wanted to get in to controversy as it happened for one such movie .If the Goverments role as a player in the extremist gang is shown in a negligible way then the movie can be treated as a movie which is safe. Some where the movie put out of sight many things.I have been active reader of the web stuffs of the Middle east bombings, but what I have read and what I had seen is totally different. Because terrorism in middle east is perceptible to Government (I am not saying they hold up ,Which I don’t know )and it does not happen as a hidden agenda as it happened .But terrorist from Middle east make it a hidden projects out of Middle east.

Controversies minus, this movie is superbly shot with the shady cameras which were visible and identical through out the movie. What was so appreciable was the way the mindsets of the active participants were shown. The restrictions and the traditions which they follow for their religion had been shown in a much more matured way which was really appreciable.

The movie is packed with instances which had to be related ,and they were in a urge to show many things like the slicing of the knifes ,interrogation of the security official ,Video releases and of course the main plot the evidence searching .But the movie ended with a satisfactory thank god not ending any thing leaving some loose ends for the happenings which they show as the thing which will be continued.

One thing which I don’t understand is the movie had a beleif hiding many things and showing the 120 mins only as a entertainment will work, sadly "no" when you take the movie with a serious note ;it needs to be taken with Guts and not as a secured and cowardly manner ,atleast for the Hollywood. There were many movies like Kingdom heaven which were true to their level but this movie is a fake with regard to content. Mere FBI worship!!!!!
