Contract ( Hindi - 2008)

Why did I go for this movie? I don’t know probably baffled again by the trailer and the print advertisement.Advertised as in line with Sathya and Company,This movie had only very minimal scope to enjoy.

Contract is signed between Aman (Adhvik Mahajan) an X RAW official and Mumbai police official Ahmed Hussain (Prasad) to infilterate in to the gang of Sultan an Zihad terrorist. The plan is to Aman rechristened as Amaan Ali reaching RD’s Gang which works under Sultan and then reach out Sultan gang.In the mean time RD’s gang cleans off Goonga a rival gang of RD’s.Aman reaches sultan and the movie ends up very predictable.

RamGopal varma ????? I don’t have any thing to say about this man.He is again back to where he belongs .I still don’t understand how much he will dig in to Underworld and terrorism,When he is not getting any thing fruitful he should better shut his work and go back to Rangeela kind of movies. He had given some good underworld movies in the past and now he is spoiling his reputation.Sarkar showed some promise of he coming back to form but again with Contract it is a below average creation.

The Guy Adhvik Mahajan is a good find but he will also be a Ram Gopal varma boys for the years to come .There is a new girl found by RGV ,Sakshi Gulati and I bet she would make a repeated roles for nearly five or six movies as many of his heroines did.But she is not a bad actress like Nisha Kothari .She acts to the role. There are usual stuffs of a gang war and political influence and some idiotic characters like Goonga (Upendra Limaye ).He is a fantastic actor and he has been given a role which was meant to be different but looks cranky.

The movie isn’t too bad as his Aag ,but it is not the creation one would make when he is celeberated as a top director. It was like a ‘sake of making “ kind of screenplay with a story line which was told again and again.RGV has a good marketing skill which makes viewers like me to watch his movie ,though I know it’s going to be a disappointment.I can say advertisement works better for him than Direction.
