The Dark Knight (2008)




I don’t remember when I was fully satisfied in watching a movie in the recent past.I decided to watch Dark Knight on Friday some how missed due to some commitments.When I went to watch my ears were full with great reviews and praises about the movie.That left me biased even my friend Ashok had experienced the same.Probably the new viewers will have the same too.

Batman (Christian Bale ),Jame Gordon and the new attorney of Gotham city Harvey Dent fight against Joker (Heath Ledger).The three fight against the organised crime in the city when they meet the psycho Villain Joker.The Good vs evil goes along.

The movie belongs to Heath Ledger as Joker and Its so different to see a villain with no rules no boundries.He digs out even the larger than life Batman .His performance nails the good and makes us watch him in a deeper sense.He is emotionally compelling ,irritating and gives no chance for any sort .His performance differs from the way he puts forth and executes both as a actor and as a character.He was simply magical from the word go.The character itself is full of energy and Heath Ledger had given it with a style .

Christian Bale is an unique actor .Every thing works cool for him be it a Psycho or a magician or Batman. His intense performance continues in The Dark Knight too.Here unlike the other superhero flicks he is being frustrated by the Joker which gives him run for his victory .When the three Goods of the movie Batman ,Gordan and Harvey Dent discuss about their choices to Joker ,it clearly puts forth this is a complex characterisations and it is not about only the stunts and gimmicks of Batman.It has characters and all of them are invulnerable and they are knitted with precision by Christopher Nolan.

There are many characters right from Michael Caine(Alfred ), Maggie Gyllenhaal(Rachel) Aaron Eckhart (Harvey Dent ),Morgan Freeman(Lucius Fox)and many I don’t have any words left to write.This is probably one of writeups which I struggled a lot ,with no words in me for to write.

I was made to read many reviews before watching this movie and even the review has almost all the area touched upon by many for the sake I have left many points like Posthumous oscar to Heath Ledger and Bikes which flow across the streets of Gothom.This is one of the greatest presentation of a Comic character which is complete in all senses .The movie has a great music which follows all along the movie with a welcome for some body.If you want to enjoy this you got to select the theatre and watch it for it grand appearance .

There used to be days when I used to watch a movie twice, thrice or even five times in a theatre. Every one growing up watching Rajini, Kamal would definitely agree; Aboorva sagotharargal, Batsha, Kadhalukku mariyathai or many to name it.  It may be completely not possible today with the schedule and the amount of new content which streams before you. Some movies bring nostalgic moments when they are telecasted today. For example, I usually have it with Bombay, I remember watching it atleast 30-40 times in theatres in and around Tirunelveli. I have rehashed some of Tamil movies which is available in Youtube today which you should watch it again.  These were some of the movies which gave huge inspirations to film makers, script writers or be it any one loves cinema like me. Test it , first 15 minutes of any these movies and I bet you will sure complete the whole movie. With Silambattam Simbu needs a hit badly and he does what he knows the best.Dance and Action. Silambattam is a out and out Tamil Masala movie shot in a village atmosphere.Incidentally the Tamil cinema is able to break the Friday lucky day to release this movie on Thursday. Anantha Thandavam -The original Pirivom Sandhippom

Below is the write up about a movie which I expect so much for this year.The story has been my personal favorite and is based on one of the best Tamil novel which I have read so far.I happened to read the novel Pirivom Santhippom during my college days ,which made me to think aloud about love.Written by Sujatha the story was initially published in Anantha Vikatan in early 80’s.The story of Pirivom Santhippom is of two series first in Tirunelveli second part in America.After eight years I am able to recall each and every characters of the work.This has nothing to do with my memory but with the beauty of the book.The main characters are “Ragupathi and Madumitha “.After reading the book I felt there can not be a sweeter name than Madumitha .Even the name of the particular character while reading the novel will make you feel for Ragupathy.
