Kadhal Na Summa Illai (2009)
Kadhal na Summa Illai is promoted in a big manner by Raj TV ,since its their first venture in to movie distribution.Kadhal Na summa illai is a remake of the telugu movie Gamyam which was a sensational hit a year ago.
It’s a search of a lover boy to reach his lady love who had split with him due to difference of ambitions and life style.Abiram(Sarvanand) who is a millionaire who lives his life careless and partying,while Janaki(Kamalinee mukerjee) is a doctor who wants to serve the society.Both fell in love but had to split their relations.When he realizes about her ambition he goes in search of her where he meets Vetti Velu ( Ravi Krishna ) a petty thief who joins Abiram to assist in his search.
Movie speaks about the realization of a man’s mind in the pursuit of his love and the reality of the world.But some how the characters whose performance makes it so melodramatic in this movie.Movie can not be graded a worst but I felt the character of Ravi Krishna did the damage for the movie.What could have been a sensational character had deeply eroded the interest in the movie.His acting seems to be in the grade of never improving and it irritates .His performance is still in the hang over of 7G Rainbow colony and We could not stop to yawn when he pretends make fun or humour.
Sarvanand who acted in the orginal version has given a quiet and submissive performance in Tamil which is what is expected for the character.Kamalinee looks pretty ! Movie looks in to closer view of the real life and fancy life but the romance which needed more thrust is totally left in the air which makes this movie very normal.There isn’t a compelling reason for Kamalinee who has a totally service minded to fell in love with Abiram who does nothing other than partying.
Director Ilangkannan has retained most of the parts of the movie except M.S Bhaskar and Ravi Krishna sequences.The dialogues looks very normal but the music numbers are good which are drawn from the hit numbers of Telugu .
